CVE-2024-10101Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Session theft via stored HTML script execution

Published Oct 17, 2024 · Updated Dec 20, 2024

Stored XSS in GPT Academic 3.83 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in another user's browser via uploaded HTML. The /file endpoint stores uploaded HTML and serves it as renderable content without neutralizing embedded script, so the browser executes the payload when the stored file is opened. Low-privilege access is required to upload the file, and a victim must access it; successful exploitation exposes session cookies or other browser-accessible sensitive information.
