Path traversal in GPT Academic 3.83 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary host files through a crafted file parameter. The affected request handling accepts URL-encoded traversal sequences in the file parameter and resolves them outside the intended file area. A low-privileged session is required, and exposed files include application data, SSH keys, API keys, and configuration values.
