Protected post disclosure via unchecked shortcode lookup
Published Nov 5, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Information disclosure in SevenSpark DTX 4.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read protected WordPress post content. The CF7_get_post_var shortcode accepts an attacker-chosen post_id and key, then returns fields from that post without checking its visibility or ownership. Contributor-level access is required; successful use exposes titles and text from private or password-protected posts the account does not own.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
