Stored XSS via unescaped post meta attributes
Published Oct 18, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in New Signature Labs WP Easy Post Types 1.4.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via post meta. The plugin stores user-supplied post metadata without sufficient sanitization and later emits it in page attributes without context-appropriate output escaping. Contributor-level access is required to plant the payload, which runs in another user's browser when the injected page is viewed.
