Subscriber-level PHP object injection via untrusted deserialization
Published Oct 18, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
PHP object injection in WP Easy Post Types 1.4.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject objects through an AJAX request. The ajax_import_content function deserializes the attacker-controlled text parameter without validating its serialized content or permitted object types. Subscriber access reaches the function, but file deletion, sensitive-data retrieval, or code execution requires a POP chain from another installed plugin or theme.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
