Transient deletion via missing nonce validation
Published Oct 23, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in WPBeginner Transients Manager 2.0.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to delete WordPress transients. The process_actions function accepts state-changing action requests without correctly validating a WordPress nonce before invoking transient-deletion operations. Exploitation requires an administrator with an authenticated WordPress session to open an attacker-crafted link, and the bounded consequence is deletion of cached transient data.
