Stored XSS via unescaped decimal separator setting
Published Dec 12, 2024 · Updated Dec 12, 2024
Stored XSS in ThimPress LearnPress before 4.2.7.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in an administrator's browser. The Decimal separator setting accepts unescaped HTML, stores it, and inserts it into the LearnPress order-status widget, where an image error handler runs. Administrator- or editor-level access, disabled unfiltered_html, and a victim viewing the widget are required; the script runs with the victim's session privileges.
