Configuration disclosure and tampering via unchecked setup handlers
Published Oct 22, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Rover IDX 3.0.0.2903 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to add, modify, or delete plugin options. Multiple setup handlers in admin/rover-panel-setup.php process option-management requests without checking the caller's WordPress capability. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and the affected actions can expose, alter, or remove the plugin's stored configuration.
