Memory corruption via unbounded eTime processing
Published Jan 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 23, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in TOTOLINK N200RE 9.3.5u.6139_B20201216 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt process memory. The setParentalRules handler in /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi fails to bound the eTime value before placing it in a stack buffer. Router-management access and credentials are required; no authoritative source confirms arbitrary code execution or exploitation in the wild.
