Authenticated memory corruption via unbounded diagnosis IP field
Published Jan 29, 2024 · Updated May 29, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in TOTOLINK N200RE 9.3.5u.6139_B20201216 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt router memory via its web interface. The setDiagnosisCfg handler in /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi fails to bound the ip field before it overruns stack storage. Access to the management endpoint is required; successful exploitation can crash the CGI process or alter control flow on the router.
