CVE-2024-0990Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Memory corruption via unbounded ping1 input

Published Jan 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 28, 2024

Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda i6 1.0.0.9(3857) allows remote authenticated users to corrupt httpd memory via ping1. The formSetAutoPing handler for /goform/setAutoPing fails to bound the ping1 argument before storing it in a stack buffer. Reaching the handler over the network requires high-privilege authentication according to the CNA, and behavior beyond memory corruption is not documented.
