CVE-2024-0980

Arbitrary code execution via undisclosed updater flaws

Published Mar 27, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Code execution flaws in the Okta Verify for Windows auto-update service before 4.10.7 allow attackers to run arbitrary code on devices. Okta identifies path-restriction and uncontrolled search-path flaws in the updater but does not disclose their code loci or untrusted input operations. Exploitation requires low privileges and adjacent-network access; arbitrary code execution permits data access, modification, and service interruption.
