Stored XSS via unescaped Custom CSS setting
Published Mar 18, 2024 · Updated Aug 28, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Widget for Social Page Feeds before 6.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in visitors' browsers. The widget's Custom CSS setting stores an attribute-breaking payload without sanitizing or escaping it, and later renders the resulting markup. An administrator-level account without unfiltered_html must save the setting, and a visitor must load and interact with the affected widget.
