Stored XSS via unescaped info_text shortcode output
Published Mar 12, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in 3UU Shariff Wrapper 4.6.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through the shariff shortcode. The shortcode's information-button renderer places the user-controlled info_text attribute into generated HTML without sufficient sanitization or output escaping. Contributor-level access is sufficient to store the payload in a page, but execution requires a visitor to open that page and click the information icon.
