Stored script execution via crafted proxy settings
Published Feb 6, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stored XSS in Tenable Nessus 10.6.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users with administrator privileges to execute scripts. The proxy-settings interface stores administrator-controlled values, but Tenable has not disclosed the affected fields or exact neutralization failure during later rendering. Exploitation requires an administrator to change proxy settings and another user's interaction with the stored content; scripts execute in that user's browser context.
