Browser script execution via administrator-set configuration
Published Jan 26, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Disputed cross-site scripting in NetBox 3.7.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to run script in a browser. The report submits an HTML heading with an onload handler through /core/config-revisions, but does not identify the field or rendering operation that fails to neutralize it. High-privileged access and a second user's interaction are required; NetBox's maintainer describes the behavior as expected superuser control, so the CVE remains disputed.
