Arbitrary SQL execution via unsafe sort substitution

Published Jan 26, 2024 · Updated Nov 13, 2024

SQL injection in xxyopen Novel-Plus 4.3.0-RC1 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary SQL through the book-comment list endpoint. BookCommentMapper.xml uses MyBatis dollar substitution to concatenate untrusted sort and order values directly into the ORDER BY clause. A valid administrative session is required; the published demonstration delays database responses and enumerates database names.
