CVE-2024-0923Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Memory corruption via unchecked device-name copy

Published Jan 26, 2024 · Updated Jun 3, 2025

Stack-based buffer overflow in formSetDeviceName in Tenda AC10U 15.03.06.49_multi_TDE01 allows remote attackers to corrupt stack memory. The handler reads devName with websGetVar and passes it through set_device_name to sprintf into the fixed-size mib_name array without a length check. The public proof of concept sends an oversized device name to /goform/SetOnlineDevName; CNA scoring requires high privileges, while NVD scoring treats the request as unauthenticated, and no source establishes a stronger outcome than memory corruption.
