Authenticated command execution via unneutralized NTP parameters
Published Jan 26, 2024 · Updated Oct 18, 2024
Command injection in TRENDnet TEW-815DAP 1.0.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute operating system commands. The do_setNTP POST handler builds a command from the NtpDstStart and NtpDstEnd daylight-saving values without neutralizing shell metacharacters. Reachability requires a management login, and successful injection grants command execution with the appliance service's privileges.
