Stored script execution via unescaped outline settings
Published Feb 3, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in DearHive DearFlip 2.2.26 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through outline settings. The plugin accepts user-supplied outline-setting data without sufficient sanitization and later emits it into generated pages without output escaping. Contributor-level access is required to store the payload, which executes in a visitor's browser whenever an injected page is opened.
