Arbitrary WordPress option updates via unchecked option names
Published Feb 5, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in ConnektHQ Instant Images 6.1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to update arbitrary WordPress options. The instant-images/license REST handler accepts an option name for an update without confirming that the option belongs to the plugin. Author-level access is sufficient, allowing changes to site-wide settings outside the plugin's license configuration.
