CVE-2024-0868Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Audit-log IP spoofing via trusted forwarding headers

Published Apr 17, 2024 · Updated Aug 9, 2024

IP address spoofing in Dev4Press coreActivity before 2.1 allows remote attackers to falsify source addresses recorded in activity logs. The request-IP lookup trusts caller-controlled forwarding headers, including X-Forwarded-For, and stores the supplied value as the visitor address. No authentication is required; forged audit entries can misattribute hostile requests, but the flaw does not grant access or alter site content.
