CVE-2024-0864Network attack vector

Remote code execution via unvalidated file upload

Published Feb 29, 2024 · Updated Oct 10, 2024

Unrestricted file upload in Laragon 6.0.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through the Simple Ajax Uploader example. The bundled file_upload.php example accepts uploaded files without validating their types, permitting server-executable content in its configured upload location. The handler is disabled by default; exposure requires enabling and serving the example, and successful exploitation executes code under the web server account.
