Affected GitLab EE releases allow remote authenticated users with Guest access to alter custom dashboard project settings. The project analytics settings endpoint accepts a direct POST carrying a PATCH override and dashboard-pointer attributes without enforcing project-settings permission. A Guest membership, valid session, and Ultimate-tier project are required; exploitation changes which project supplies the victim project's custom dashboards.
