Admin-session script execution via unescaped log data
Published May 15, 2025 · Updated Nov 13, 2025
Stored XSS in Dev4Press coreActivity before 1.8.1 allows remote attackers to inject scripts through request paths logged for administrators. The activity logger stores an unauthenticated request path, and the admin Logs dashboard renders that value without adequate escaping. Exploitation requires an administrator to open the Logs dashboard, where the stored script executes in that privileged browser session.
