CVE-2024-0849Public exploit

Local file disclosure via file URL iframe

Published Feb 7, 2024 · Updated Apr 20, 2026

Path traversal in the Leanote desktop app 2.7.0 allows local users to read arbitrary files after opening crafted HTML. The Electron renderer accepts a local HTML entry point, loads a file:// iframe, and exposes the embedded file body to page script. Low-privileged local access and user interaction are required; successful exploitation discloses local file contents without modifying data or interrupting service.
