Stored XSS via unescaped widget settings
Published Jun 18, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in RedLettuce Plugins PDF Viewer for Elementor 2.9.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts. The viewer widgets' render methods emit attacker-controlled Elementor settings into page markup without sufficient input sanitization or context-appropriate output escaping. Contributor-level access is required to store the payload, and execution occurs when a user opens the injected page.
