CVE-2024-0833

Privilege escalation via manipulable legacy installer

Published Jan 31, 2024 · Updated Oct 17, 2024

Privilege escalation in Telerik Test Studio before 2023.3.1330 allows local users to execute commands with elevated Windows privileges. The legacy Windows installer retains an elevated execution path after installation and processes manipulated installation-package actions above the caller's privilege. Exploitation requires prior local-account access and an existing installation created with the legacy installer; other installation methods are unaffected.
