CVE-2024-0817

Arbitrary command execution via shell-interpolated DOT path

Published Mar 7, 2024 · Updated Apr 16, 2025

Command injection in IrGraph.draw in PaddlePaddle 2.6.0 and earlier allows local users to execute arbitrary OS commands. The method concatenates an attacker-controlled DOT file path into a shell command and invokes subprocess.call with shell=True. Exploitation requires code execution that calls IrGraph.draw with a crafted save_path; injected commands run with the PaddlePaddle process privileges.
