Unauthenticated Instagram unlinking via unchecked admin action
Published Mar 18, 2024 · Updated Aug 28, 2024
Missing authorization in Mediabeta Enjoy Social Feed 6.2.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to unlink Instagram accounts via crafted requests. Functions registered through admin_init accept an unauthenticated enjoyinstagram-remove-user action and user_id, then remove the selected user’s Instagram link without a capability check. No WordPress login is required; successful requests alter the targeted site’s Instagram integration without changing the Instagram account itself.
