Unauthorized theme activation via missing nonce validation
Published Feb 28, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Envo's Templates & Widgets for Elementor and WooCommerce through 1.4.4 allows remote attackers to activate themes. The ajax_theme_activation function accepts a requested theme and activates the named installed theme without validating a request nonce. Exploitation requires an administrator with an active session to follow an attacker-controlled link; the demonstrated consequence is an unauthorized theme change.
