CVE-2024-0740Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via RSE socket injection

Published Apr 26, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

OS command injection in Eclipse Target Management 4.5.500 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through the RSE server. The org.eclipse.dstore.core.server.ServerLauncher service accepts a semicolon-delimited socket payload and passes injected shell syntax to the operating system without neutralization. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation executes commands with the RSE server process's privileges.
