Unauthenticated service interruption via oversized FTP username

Denial of service in the Login component of Xlight FTP Server 1.1 allows remote attackers to interrupt the FTP service via a crafted username. The public exploit submits a 500-byte username as the FTP USER value; Xlight has not disclosed how the Login component mishandles it. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the demonstrated consequence is limited to interruption of the FTP service.
