Authenticated database query manipulation via unvalidated expense identifier
Published Jan 19, 2024 · Updated Sep 3, 2024
SQL injection in SourceCodester Online Tours & Travels Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries. The exec function in admin/operations/expense.php embeds the GET id parameter in a SQL query without validation, allowing its syntax to change. Access to the administrator expense endpoint is required, and successful injection executes attacker-chosen SQL with the application's database privileges.
