CVE-2024-0732Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Service crash via oversized STOR pathname

Published Jan 19, 2024 · Updated May 9, 2025

Stack buffer overflow in PCMan FTP Server 2.0.7 allows remote authenticated users to crash the FTP service through a crafted STOR request. The STOR handler accepts an overlong pathname prefixed with /../ and copies it into a fixed 128-byte stack buffer without enforcing its length. A valid FTP login and network access to the service are required, and the demonstrated consequence is process termination rather than data disclosure or modification.
