Reflected XSS via unescaped login message
Published Jan 19, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2024
Reflected XSS in Project Worlds Student Project Allocation System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute script via the admin login page. The admin_login.php handler returns the msg parameter in its generated page without neutralizing script markup, as demonstrated by a crafted closing quote and script element. No authentication is required to supply the parameter, but a user must load crafted content; script runs in the page's browser context and can alter displayed content.
