Unauthenticated device-data disclosure via devinfo area parameter
Published Jan 19, 2024 · Updated May 30, 2025
Information disclosure in D-Link router firmware dated 20240112 allows remote attackers to read device details through the /devinfo endpoint. The HTTP GET handler accepts the unauthenticated area value notice|net|version and returns JSON containing model, firmware, network, region, and MAC-address fields. Network access to the management interface is sufficient; the behavior exposes device metadata and routing details without altering the appliance.
