CVE-2024-0675Public exploit

Kiosk escape via boot-time window-manager access

Published Jan 30, 2024 · Updated Aug 23, 2024

Improper condition handling in Lamassu Douro firmware 7.1 allows physically proximate attackers to escape kiosk mode and run commands. During ATM interface startup, the kiosk leaves a several-second interval in which the window manager accepts user input, exposing its menu and terminal. Physical access during boot is required; commands execute through the underlying X Window environment as an unprivileged user.
