Published Jan 27, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Meks Smart Social Widget 1.6.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through crafted widget settings. The widget accepts administrator-supplied option values without sufficient sanitization and emits them into generated pages without context-appropriate escaping. Exploitation requires administrator access and affects multisite installations or installations with unfiltered_html disabled, exposing visitors to attacker-controlled scripts.
