CVE-2024-0654

Local code execution via unsafe pickle deserialization

Published Jan 18, 2024 · Updated Jun 2, 2025

Deserialization in DeepFaceLab pretrained DF.wf.288res.384.92.72.22 allows local users to execute code via a crafted meta.dat file. The restore_faceset_metadata_folder function reads the entire file and passes its bytes to pickle.loads without validation or a restricted unpickler. A local user must place or modify meta.dat and invoke metadata restoration; successful exploitation runs code with the DeepFaceLab process's privileges.
