Published Jun 11, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Hiroaki Miyashita Custom Field Template 2.6.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject browser scripts. The admin-settings path stores configuration input without sufficient sanitization and later renders it without output escaping. Administrator privileges plus WordPress multisite or disabled unfiltered_html are required; the scripts run when a user opens an injected page.
