Admin-to-admin script execution via unsafe dashboard URL
Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Mar 20, 2025
Stored XSS in Chatwoot 3.0.0 through 3.5.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript when another admin opens a dashboard app. DashboardApp validation accepts any syntactically valid URI as frame content, allowing a crafted non-HTTP scheme to be stored and later loaded. An administrator must save the content and another administrator must open it, exposing data and actions available to the viewer's browser session.
