Stored script execution via unescaped custom font
Published May 22, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Automatic Translator with Google Translate 1.5.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run scripts. The custom font setting accepts administrator-supplied content without sufficient input sanitization and renders it without output escaping. Exploitation requires administrator access and applies only to multisite installations or sites with unfiltered_html disabled, where the stored script executes when a user visits an affected page.
