Administrator-level stored XSS via imported form titles
Published Jan 27, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Fluent Forms 5.1.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through imported form titles. The form-import path accepts a title from uploaded JSON and later renders it without sufficient input sanitization or output escaping. Administrator-level access is required, and exposure is limited to multisite installations or installations where unfiltered_html is disabled; viewing an injected page executes the stored script.
