Unauthenticated content disclosure via unrestricted REST API
Published Feb 20, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Sensitive information exposure in Passster 4.2.6.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to read protected WordPress content through its REST API. The global-protection logic fails to restrict REST API responses, which serialize protected post titles, slugs, IDs, content, metadata, and passwords. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the consequence is limited to reading data from protected posts and pages.
