Cross-origin script execution via unfiltered window.open redirect
Published Jan 22, 2024 · Updated Jun 20, 2025
Universal cross-site scripting in Mozilla Firefox Focus before 122 allows remote attackers to run scripts in a legitimate site's origin. The createWebViewWith path opens a window.open redirect in the existing WKWebView without applying URIFixup to reject a javascript URI. A user must tap attacker-controlled page content; the injected script can read or alter data available to the displayed site.
