Stored XSS via unsanitized contact form messages
Published Apr 9, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in StellarWP Kadence Blocks 3.2.17 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through contact form settings. The contact form block stores message-setting content without sufficient input sanitization and renders it without adequate output escaping. Editor-level access or higher is required, and exposure primarily affects multisite sites or sites with unfiltered_html disabled; the script runs when a visitor opens the page.
