CVE-2024-0572Network attack vector

Authenticated stack corruption via unbounded pppoeUser input

Published Jan 16, 2024 · Updated Jun 17, 2025

Stack-based buffer overflow in TOTOLINK LR1200GB 9.1.0u.6619_B20230130 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt stack memory. The setOpModeCfg handler in /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi processes the attacker-controlled pppoeUser argument without a length bound, overflowing its stack buffer. A valid low-privilege management session is required, and the published record does not specify whether exploitation causes a crash or code execution.
