Administrator-level SQL injection via unsanitized sort parameters
Published Feb 12, 2024 · Updated May 7, 2025
SQL injection in the Smart Manager WordPress plugin before 8.28.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute SQL through an admin AJAX request. The sm_beta_include_file action places attacker-controlled sortOrder and column parameters into a database query without adequate sanitization or escaping. Administrator access is required, and successful injection permits database reads or writes and can interrupt service.
