Client crash via unvalidated SMB response offset

Integer underflow in the Linux kernel SMB client allows attackers to crash clients through a malicious SMB server response. In receive_encrypted_standard, a server-controlled NextCommand offset is subtracted from the PDU length and passed to memcpy without first checking that the offset fits within the PDU. Exploitation requires a client to connect to and mount content from the malicious server; the established consequence is a client crash.
